Cross-Party Group

The Cross-Party Group on Dyslexia was set up in the Scottish Parliament in 2005.

The group is made up of MSPs and other partners, including charities, parents, educators, the army and the prison service.

The aims of the Cross-Party Group on Dyslexia are:

  • to raise awareness of dyslexia;
  • to promote good practice in education and the workplace; and
  • to support families affected by dyslexia.

Members include Dyslexia Scotland staff and many representatives from our local branches.

Meetings

The Cross Party Group on Dyslexia in the Scottish Parliament was re-registered by Convener Margaret Mitchell MSP at its inaugural meeting on Tuesday 21 June 2011. New office bearers were elected and an agenda for the coming session discussed.

The next Cross Party Group meeting will take place in the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 21st September 2011 between 1pm and 2.30pm.

The final  meeting of the group in the last parliamentary session was on Tuesday 22 February at 2.00 - 4.00 pm in room P1.02 at the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood.
