Our Dyslexia Assessment Working Group, chaired by Dr. Margaret Crombie, has developed a web-based toolkit for early years workers and teachers to use to assess literacy difficulties and dyslexia.

Funded by the Scottish Government, this web-based toolkit will help teachers and early years staff to identify literacy difficulties early.

The Assessing Dyslexia tookit was formally launched by our President, Sir Jackie Stewart, and Mike Russell, the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning on 1st June.

Assessing Dyslexia tooklit dissemination events

Four regional dissemination events are being hosted by local authorities in October and November 2010. The events will be held on the following dates:

25th October - Highland; 26th October - South Lanarkshire

3rd November - Perth & Kinross; 4th November - West Lothian

The hosting authorities will contact the surrounding authorities with details of the events shortly.
