Dyslexia Awareness Week starts on 31st October!
Strictly Come Fencing for Dyslexia Awareness Week
Olympic fencing demonstrations, a film featuring ‘Strictly’ star Kara Tointon and an exhibition by an international furniture designer - it must be Dyslexia Awareness Week!
Dyslexia Scotland is delighted to announce its programme of events across Scotland to celebrate this year’s Dyslexia Awareness Week, with the ‘Dyslexia and Us’ theme.
- In association with Edinburgh City Libraries and BNY Mellon, Dyslexia Scotland has created a fantastic programme of exhibitions, workshops and events to mark Dyslexia Awareness Week 2011 across Edinburgh.
- In association with our network of 15 volunteer-led Dyslexia Scotland branches, we have developed an exciting nationwide programme of events.
From events targeting young jobseekers to rapping workshops, “Dyslexia & Us”, from Monday 31 October until Saturday 5 November, is bound to have something for everyone.
One of the highlights of the week is the launch of a hard-hitting and myth-busting book, ‘Dyslexia and Us’, which features personal anecdotes about dyslexia from a host of celebrities and 'ordinary' people. This book has been created by Dyslexia Scotland and will be published by Edinburgh City Libraries, with all proceeds going to Dyslexia Scotland.
